BlueCloud Technologies is seeking a Senior IT Project and Business Manager to provide project management support, from project definition to closing, for multiple complex technology projects. The position exists within a matrix organization that works diligently to balance efficient delivery of new technology with operational responsibilities in a service-oriented organization. The Senior IT Project Manager coordinates the delivery of all assigned projects, ensuring project documentation accurately reflects the scope, schedule, resource requirements, and current status of assigned projects. The project manager also provides guidance and mentoring to technical managers in implementing approved project processes on projects without an assigned project manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

The IT Project and Business Manager is accountable for meeting sales targets. Responsibilities include identifying and generating new business through defined sales activities such as territory planning, prospecting, social and face-to-face networking, proposal-writing, closing the business and relationship building. The ITBDM will interact with operations and staff as well as all levels of management within the company and client’s organization.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

Education: This position requires a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and Project Management Professional certification or a Master degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related field.
Experience: This position requires a minimum of five years of comparable professional experience, with direct experience managing technology projects.

• Developing project schedules using Smartsheet or similar scheduling software
• Managing teams of five or more people, composed of technical and non-technical resources, external vendors, and external stakeholders
• Utilizing excellent quantitative abilities, succinct professional writing, and clear verbal communication skills to synthesize large volumes of information for senior management.
• Handling security and data confidentiality issues

Preference will be given to applicants who also have:

• Ability to inspire and mentor project leads to successfully utilize formal project management techniques.
• Experience modifying project management processes based on the size, complexity, and risk of a project.
• Experience managing IT network projects.
